The ABC’s of Schedule A

Interested in working for the Federal Government? Do you know about the non-competitive process for persons with disabilities? Schedule A plays a big part in that. You can apply using Schedule A if you are a person with an intellectual disability, a severe physical disability, or a psychiatric disability. In order to be selected you will need to show that you meet the qualifications of the job (with or without reasonable accommodation).

Learn about the steps you can take to get hired by the US Government by visiting The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s  step by step process of The ABC’s of Schedule A.

Today we remember RJ Mitte, who captivated millions on Breaking Bad and far beyond. ABILITY Magazine first met RJ as a young actor in a 2009 interview with Liz Angeles and ABILITY’s late founder, Chet Cooper. Even then, RJ’s spirit shone brightly. He was funny, driven, generous and determined to use his platform to uplift others with disabilities. RJ pushed limits and wanted to show the world what people with disabilities could do when given a chance. His interview became one of ABILITY’s most memorable — both for breaking barriers in entertainment and for his advocacy and representation. We remember RJ with gratitude for his work, his voice and the joy he brought to the world. Rest in peace, RJ. Your impact lives on.
